New cake, and not much else, with no promises of anything but Greens' patiently awaited Poison commission on the horizon. Things are absolutely insane right now. I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off for the last two weeks, desperately trying to get a job, take care of all my church commitments, which are spiraling out of control, and make the best cake I've ever made for anyone in my life. I sadly don't think I did -- I've been in a cake funk since after the wedding, but hopefully, things'll pick up again soon.

Today's Matt's birthday, but he worked, so we didn't do anything, and we're gonna celebrate tomorrow, which he has off. I wasn't able to plan the surprise party that I wanted for him, and he didn't at all seem interested in any of the trips I tried to plan, but hopefully, I can make up for it later. We do have our sixth anniversary coming up later this month, which is absolutely mind-blowing. It barely feels like it's been a couple of years.

And then for a long time, nothing happened.  ~July 1st, 2008

Sorry I've been such a bum. Three new finished arts, and four new sketch-like things. No new cakes, but I'll hopefully have one to post 'round this time next week. The gallery is still only circa 2008, and I could say I've been working on it, but I really haven't. I haven't been working on anything even vaguely VoS-related, because I've been way too busy with life stuff, job stuff, driving stuff, church commitments, and other joyous things of joy.

I'll try not to be such a flake about updates and stuff in the coming last few months of our webspace contract, but I make no guarantees.

Visions of Sugar Officially Open!  ~April 25th, 2008

Well, after over two years in limbo, Visions of Sugar is finally up, literal months before our hosting contract with Micfo expires. Hopefully, jumping servers won't be too much of a pain, or this might be a very short-lived website. Big thanks to Rachel, Will, and Kat for all your help coding, testing, and listening to me complain about naughty divs.

Anyway, as you'll soon notice, the place is far from done as far as the galleries go, and as I find the time, I hope to make actual content, maybe have a guestbook/blog, or something like that. Please note two things about the gallery:

•    I sort according to year, and for now, only 2008 is done, so prepare for a buttload of 404's if you should try any of the 2007-2002 links.
•    The script I used for the gallery requires the page to be allowed to load entirely prior to clicking on any of the thumbnails.

I tried to find a way to disable mouse clicks until the page was ready for browsing, but had no luck. If you know of any such means, please e-mail me.
